Things continue to go from bad to worse for former Vice President Joe Biden.
During an interview Tuesday on MSNBC, Biden’s 2020 campaign spokesperson was attempting to squash allegations that the Biden family took part in a slew of shady business deals when he was serving as the vice president.
But while trying to defend Biden, Kate Bedingfield actually implicated former President Barack Obama in Joe’s Ukraine scandal.
Bedingfield flat-out admitted that Obama was well aware of his vice president’s son, Hunter Biden, raking in millions from a Ukrainian gas company and didn’t think it was an issue.
Bedingfield, for whatever reason, actually made an explosive admission: Obama was aware that Hunter Biden was being paid $50,000 a month from Burmisa Holdings while his father oversaw relations with the Ukraine and did nothing about it.
“Look, every single independent outlet that’s looked into this has said there’s no issue of wrongdoing here. You know, in 2014 the White House cleared Hunter Biden serving on that board,” Bedingfield said.
“So he’s absolutely been asked that question and he’s answered it many times,” she said, referring to Hunter Biden’s shady business
“But what he’s not going to do, what our campaign is not going to do, is play by Donald Trump’s playbook,” Bedingfield continued.
She declared: “This is what they want to do. Overnight, right, we saw an AP headline that says Rudy Giuliani and some of his cohorts, while they were in Ukraine trying to dig up dirt – make up dirt – on Joe Biden, they were also trying to make a buck off of Ukrainian natural gas contracts.”
“So I think what we’ll see is they’ll continue to try to change the subject and we’re not going to let them do that,” she added.
Quite amazing that she would admit that in public, let alone on national television.
The allegations are that Hunter Biden profited financially from his father’s time as vice president.
The details emerged as the Ukrainian government recently reopened an investigation into Burmisa Holdings, which was paying Hunter Biden roughly $50,000 a month.
That company was under investigation by Ukraine’s top prosecutor, but Joe Biden allegedly pressured the Ukrainian government to remove the prosecutor from the case — and his plan worked.
While serving as the VP, Biden went to Kiev in March 2016? and “threatened to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss the country’s top prosecutor [Yuriy Lutsenko], who had been accused of turning a blind eye to corruption in his own office and among the political elite.”
The Ukrainian Parliament caved to Biden’s threats and removed Lutsenko as the prosecutor on the case. And Hunter Biden skirted charges and was able to continue raking in millions of dollars.
This, according to Biden’s campaign, was not a problem at all for Obama.
Obama apparently didn’t care that Biden abused his power as the vice president to threat a foreign nation to drop its investigation into his son’s shady business deals.
